 Who Is Lucifer

"Satan"
Lucifer - according to the bible, was God's most loved angel. Until the day when Lucifer became jelous and envious of God and His love for mankind. So God threw him from heaven onto Earth, where he now bear the name Satan.

job 1:6 "...to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them." Doesn't sound like Satan is in the depths of hell.

Nowhere in the bible does it say satan was gods most beloved but fallen angel. That is a jewish myth found in the book of Enoch, a book not written by Enoch and for obvious reasons was not cannonized.

Lucifer is mentioned once in the whole bible. Once, and Satan is not mentioned even in close proximity to the verses in isaiah.

Satan is not even mentioned in the book of Genesis. We have a serpent there. Its inferred that this serpent is Satan when the bible has no trouble mentioning Satan anywhere else.

Satan is mentioned only 49 times in the whole King James Bible.

As far as I can discover Satan is/was in heaven accusing us (the bretheren) to God day and night until Jesus died on the cross then Satan was cast down to the earth like a bolt of lightning. (Rev 12:9) And the great dragon was cast out, that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world: he was cast out into the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. (Luke 10:18)"And he (Jesus) said unto them, I beheld Satan as lightning fall from heaven". Because now we have an intercessor (Romans 8:34) "Who is he that condemneth? It is Christ that died, yea rather, that is risen again, who is even at the right hand of God, who also maketh intercession for us".

So Lucifer is the king of Babylon by reference but translated it means day star or venus. Astrology was very important to people in these times and this star has particularly interesting properties.

Lucifer was also originally an archangel. He was very close to god until god chose to give his love to mankind and put us above the angels. that is what started the first was in heaven and that is how Lucifer was cast out of heaven. His namesake The angel of light came from the time before Adam and Eve when he was by Gods side. Most people do not think of light when they think of satan.

The Bible teaches us that back somewhere around the beginning of time, the devil was once named Lucifer. Lucifer was created by God, and was once a perfect and beautiful Cherub or angel (Ezekiel 28:14-15). He was created to serve and worship God, but he was created with the ability to have freedom of choice. Lucifer chose to serve himself instead of God. His heart became filled with pride because of his beauty, (Ezekiel 28:17) and he became rebellious (disobedient) against God. He believed he could be like God the most High (Isaiah 14:13-15). God then cast Lucifer out of heaven because of his sin (Isaiah 14:12; Ezekiel 28:15-19).

We must understand that God did not create the devil as the deceiver of mankind. The devil chose his own path of destruction.

Important Point:
No one can be God.

WHAT DOES SATAN DO?

Lucifer is now called Satan or the devil. He only comes to steal, kill, And destroy (John 10:10). If you are a Christian, Satan hates you because he lost what you now have, and that is eternal life with Jesus Christ in heaven forever! If you are not a Christian, he still hates you, and will try to trick you into not believing and accepting Jesus Christ into your heart. Satan and his demons are destined to go to hell forever (Matthew 25:41).

Even though Satan may try to do evil things to you, God is much more powerful! If you are a child of God, you do not have to fear the devil, because you are protected by the precious blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

God is on your side! Romans 8:31 says;

"If God be for us, who can be against us?"

As Christians, we must obey God's word. The Bible teaches us in James 4:7; "Submit yourselves therefore to God". "Submit" means to obey God.

The verse continues; "Resist the devil, and he will flee from you". "Resist" means to be against. We must not follow after anything we know that is of the devil. The last part of the verse is really awesome; "Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you." Just think, the creator of the whole universe will draw near to you, when you draw near to Him!

SATAN THE DECEIVER

When a person participates in sin or evil things they allow Satan to take part in their life and God's blessings to be removed.

You see, God protects us when we love and obey Him. But if we play around with ungodly or occult activities, we are allowing Satan to come and take part in our life. God's protection and will for us will be hindered and the devil will take advantage of us. The Bible warns us in Ephesians 4:27 about this, it says; "Neither give place to the devil". Don't allow anything that is not of God into your life.

Be sober,be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walking about, seeking whom he may devour: (1 Peter 5:8).

But the good news is, if you have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, and if you are resisting the devil, you have nothing to fear.

By opening occult doorways you will allow Satan to come and take part in your life. Occult doorways are things that God has forbidden. He has forbidden these things because He wants what is best for you. It doesn't mean that God stopped loving you, but He can no longer keep you under His complete care, because you have been disobedient against His word.
